Xinh Venom Big Fig set 893 review

This is the Xinh Venom Big Fig. Let's take a closer look at it.

As you can see, it does look good. An accessory is included with the big fig.

The accessory is an anchor chained up to an axe piece. Interesting choice of accessory.

A baseplate is also included with the big fig.

There is quite a lot of printing at the front. On the chest and legs. There's a lot of blue detailing all throughout the figure. The head looks really nice.

There's also side arm printing for the figure as well. It looks great.

This is the back torso detailing, similar to the detailing at the front.

And this is how the figure looks like with the head and one of its arms removed. I believe they used the Hulk big fig mould and just painted over it.

The big fig also comes with an alternate head. Which is the half Venom and Eddie Brock face. And it looks great. Eddie's face looks kinda big but it's good enough.

These are some of the problems with the big fig. The arms disconnect with the figure by a little bit whenever you move the arms.

The axle isn't all the way inside the head which means there's a gap between the head and the neck which looks bad. It's not noticeable in pictures but it will look obvious in real life.

So overall, the big fig looks great. There are a lot of detailing on the figure. I like that they have included an alternate head as well. But the quality control just isn't really that good. The figure would be perfect if the quality control is good. But otherwise, it's a good big fig.

More Lego City 2020 Winter Wave sets revealed

More Lego City 2020 sets have been revealed and more pictures of revealed sets have surfaced since my last Lego City 2020 set reveals post

These are the newly revealed sets and the sets I didn't show in my last post:

Lego City Street Sweeper set 60249

Lego City Postal Plane Delivery set 60250

Lego City Monster Truck set 60251

Lego City 4+ Bulldozer Construction set 60252

Lego City Ice Cream Truck set 60253

Lego City Race Boat Transport set 60254

Lego Citu Stunt Team set 60255

Lego City Racing Cars set 60256

Lego City Service Station set 60257

Lego City Tuning Workshop set 60258

Lego City Safari Adventure set 60267

So overall, this is not a very bad wave. There are some very interesting builds and new ideas like the ice cream truck and the safari set. They all look really good. But after looking at the price, some of the bigger sets do definitely feel expensive. So I think this wave is good better than a few of the previous waves, but the price is definitely too high.

Lego Speed Champions 2020 Winter Wave sets revealed

So every Lego Speed Champions set that will be released on January 2020 has officially been revealed with the final set revealed being the Nissan GT-R Nismo set 76896 which was revealed just a few hours ago at a press event in Japan

These are all the Speed Champions sets that will be releasing on January 2020:

Lego Speed Champions Ferrari F8 Tributo set 76895

Lego Speed Champions Nissan GT-R Nismo set 76896

Lego Speed Champions 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1 set 76897

Lego Speed Champions Formula E Panasonic Jaguar Racing GEN2 car & Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY set 76898

Lego Speed Champions Lamborghini Urus ST-X & Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO set 76899

So these are all of the sets that have been revealed, this wave does feel smaller than previous waves because almost all the builds here are car builds while previous waves have a lot more side builds. That's because the cars are built using more pieces since they are going for 8-stud wide cars this wave. I think it's great to have 8-stud wide cars since you can fit 2 minifigs in the cars and have more space but this change has already annoyed a lot of people who collect Speed Champions cars because cars from all of the other previous waves are 6-stud wide. Plus, the cost of the sets have increased which might affect the budget of other people.

But anyway, for the sets themselves I think the cars are really cool cars, you have some new brands like Lamborghini and Nissan. The cars they are trying to make are really awesome cars in real life. I think the Lamborghini set and the Jaguar set look really good. Same thing goes for the Ferrari and the Audi. But the Nissan GT-R just looks bad, I had high expectations for that car but it just looks bad with all the decals on it. It would have looked much better if they just went with the street version of the GT-R. This is why I don't like Speed Champions cars, they make cars that people really want in Lego form but add a crap ton of decals on it. But nonetheless, I am excited to see how the 8-stud wide cars would look in person.

Lego Marvel Avengers and Spider-Man 2020 Winter Wave sets revealed

The Marvel Super Heroes sets have finally been revealed after a few days into the Lego set reveal season by a Polish Toy Shop called Remix Raja. There are 2 sub-themes within the Marvel Super Heroes line in this wave. Namely, the Avengers and Spider-Man.

These are the sets that have been revealed:

Lego Marvel Avengers Iron Man Mech set 76140

Lego Marvel Avengers Thanos Mech set 76141

Lego Marvel Avengers Speeder Bike Attack set 76142

Lego Marvel Avengers Truck Take-down set 76143

Lego Marvel Avengers Hulk Helicopter Rescue set 76144

Lego Marvel Spider-Man Mech set 76146

Lego Spider-Man 4+ Vulture's Trucker Robbery set 76147

Lego Marvel Spider-Man vs Doc Ock set 76148

Lego Marvel Spider-Man 4+ The Menace of Mysterio set 76149

Lego Marvel Spider-Man Spiderjet vs Venom Mech set 76150

I think this wave is really boring, the minifigs are really good but the builds just suck. To be honest, I was expecting better.
For the Spider-Man sub-theme, it's all just reused ideas from previous waves, using a reused Vulture is just straight up lazy. The Mysterio figure is cool but the mech build is just another reused idea from a Juniors DC Super Heroes set. I can go on and on but you get the idea.
As for the Avengers sub-theme, they have good figures as well but the builds are bad but the truck is okay. The mech builds are actually not a bad idea, I think they are pretty cool.
The only decent set here with good figs and builds for me is surprisingly the Hulk Helicopter Rescue. The helicopter is cool enough but the Chitauri vehicles could have been better.
So overall for this wave, good figures and really bad builds.

Lego Architecture 2020 Winter Wave sets revealed

As for the Architecture sets, there are only 2 sets that will be released for the 2020 Winter Wave.

These are the 2 sets that have been revealed:

Lego Architecture Tokyo Skyline set 21051

Lego Architecture Dubai Skyline set 21052

They look really good, I think Lego captured these 2 cities quite well. For the Dubai set, I like how the Burj-Al hotel building is built but I am not sure why they chose the Jumeirah Emirates Towers to be in the set because I don't think they are really a recognisable landmark, I think they should have chosen another landmark. Maybe it's just me.
As for the Tokyo set, it's packed full of landmarks and they look really nice as well. While I understand why they did it, the brick-built Mount Fuji just looks really weird. The street on the ground level lookd really good in my opinion.
Not a bad wave of architecture sets.

Sheng Yuan Avengers: Infinity War Cull Obsidian Big Fig set SY1044-1 review

This is the figure I am going to be reviewing today. This is made by Sheng Yuan, it is a copy of Lego's version that came in one of the Infinity War sets. So lets's take a closer look at it.

The big fig itself looks really nice and the printing quality of it is pretty good.

This is included with the figure, it's a pretty simple build. They are a hammer type weapon chained together. There are 1x2 grille pieces on there for detailing. They are quite hard to remove from his hand, the bar pieces are clip very firmly onto his hand and it is very tight.

For the face print, you have the yellow eyes and the mouth detailing. On the jaw, you have the two horns poking downwards. The molding of the head looks really good, you some the detailing on top of his head. And for the detailing on his the torso, you have a strap and some orange detailing and the black lining. You also have detailing on his hip as well.

His left arm tends to loosen after a little bit of movement, so you have to push it back in which is annoying.

At the side, you have his shoulder pad in gun metal grey, the paint is really good. And you can see the molding detailing at the side of his head.

And this is how it looks from the back, there's no detailing at all.

And this is a closer look at the back of his head.

Lastly, a baseplate is included with the figure.

So I think this is a pretty good big fig, the quality is fine but there are a few problems like the arm loosening. Maybe I got a bad batch. If you only want this big fig from the Infinity War set he's included in, you should buy either Sheng Yuan's Cull Obsidian or Xinh's. But I am not sure about Xinh's quality.
